Engineer II – Electrical / Test Engineering (Onsite)

Responsibilities
You will be reverse engineering existing equipment (i.e. documenting something that is already built)
You will work unsupervised, multitask and delegate work to support technicians, engineering support staff and peers
You will be utilizing Software skills in C#, LabView, Visual Basic, and possibly others
You will be working in small teams with technicians and manufacturing engineers to address Expert On Call (EOC) tickets submitted by production
You will coordinate test equipment design reviews and ensuring the generation of appropriate design documentation
You will review product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments
You will prepare and present project / technical information to peers, internal management and customers
You will coordinate several projects and complex engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules
This position will be located in Cedar Rapids, but the candidate may be required to travel on occasion
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Proven experience with software skills in C# are required
Preferred
Experience in reviewing product designs and create test solutions that maximize test coverage in the manufacturing and service environments
Experience with utilizing Software skills in Python, LabView, Visual Basic, JAVA and .net
Experience with test stations including but are not limited by the following COTs equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM's, logic analyzers, fiber optic measuring devices, optical measuring devices, power supplies and electronic loads
