Program Manager, NERC Reliability Senior - 518185
Tennessee Valley Authority is responsible for the development and implementation of programs governing NERC Reliability for Operations facilities. The Program Manager will function as a subject matter expert for NERC Standards, ensuring compliance and reliability through assessments, strategic initiatives, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Maintains expert knowledge of NERC Reliability and industry best practices for compliance
Ensures all required reviews, assessments, and audits are conducted accurately to assure reliability and compliance with NERC Standards
Develops and ensures operations Standard Processes and Procedures (SPPs) align with Federal Standards and TVA policy
Develops and provides SME interpretation of industry standards, regulations, and policies in alignment with other TVA organizations
Defines and develops procedures and remediation plans
Implements industry standard acceptable practices for establishment, design, operation, maintenance, and modification to ensure TVA compliance to NERC standards
Reviews design change notices, maintenance procedures, and other inputs as needed to ensure NERC compliance standards are addressed
Develops detailed project scope, objectives, schedules, and funding requests to ensure TVA NERC regulatory compliance
Performs in lead role in development of reliability program conceptual framework, protection strategies, system testing, and evaluations
Analyzes reliability program risks and problems to determine causes and implements mitigation and corrective actions in accordance with applicable SPPs and industry best practices for corrective actions
Participates in industry committees for regulatory issues, research, and technical standards
Coordinates with internal groups and TVA SMEs for engineering guidance and concurrence on issues and process changes affecting NERC compliance
Performs potential non-compliance evaluations and develops mitigating and corrective actions
Coordinates efforts within Power Operations and is liaison with other outside organizations regarding implementation of new NERC standards
Provides these and other required services as business needs dictate
Qualification
Required
Must have an Engineering Degree
B.S. degree in Engineering (Preferably Electrical)
Greater than 8 years of demonstrated work experience, including a minimum of 3 years of plant/Industrial facility experience, or engineering experience in design, modification, maintenance, set-up, and testing of plant systems
Demonstrated expertise in analysis and resolution of engineering problems, mitigation, and compensating measures
Demonstrated positive team work and leadership ability
Proven oral/written communications and problem solving skills
Expert knowledge of NERC Reliability standards, engineering principles, strategies, and enterprise-wide system management tools
Must possess the ability to communicate principles, concepts, and practices effectively, interpret broad policy matters, apply technical industry standards and regulatory guidance to a range of issues
Demonstrated ability to identify, organize, analyze, solve complex programmatic problems and develop effective solutions that may be replicated to other assets and facilities
Demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and oral, written communication skills are essential
Required to obtain and maintain security clearance
Demonstrated ability to perform work in an operating generation facility required
Preferred
NERC experience preferred
Prior Program Management experience preferred
Professional engineering license, or other Industry recognized EE certification related to NERC Reliability Standards
