SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (MVO)
USAJOBS is seeking a Supply Technician (MVO) to serve in the Training Support Department of the Naval Air Technical Training Center. Responsibilities
You will serve as the point of contact for the requisition, procurement, pick-up/transportation, receipt, storage, issue, transfers, and disposal of property, equipment, and supplies
You will review all requisitions for accuracy of content (stock numbers, nomenclature, item description, cost)
You will serve as the authorized government credit card holder/user for the acquisition of materials, supplies, and services through the Government Purchase Card Program
You will advise customers on the status of purchase requests and follow-up with vendors to ensure prompt delivery
You will manage command inventory through various electronic databases
You will drive Government Vehicles, up to a 5k Stake Truck in the performance of supply duties
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
This is a bargaining unit position
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using various types of software applications to track items and prepare reports, as well as automated supply databases to enter, retrieve, and correct data; 2) Conducting extensive and exhaustive research for supply acquisition information and to reconstruct records; 3) Maintaining inventory by ensuring proper procurement, receipt, and verification of items within command; and 4) Adhering to credit card regulations to resolve issues with vendors/suppliers and maintain credit and purchasing files for tracking, auditing, and correcting discrepancies
