Responsibilities
Execute SQL performance tests on new hardware and software releases
Analyze performance results and identify regressions or stability issues
Generate reports and present findings to lead engineers
Collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve performance concerns
Perform scripting and automation using C, C#, and PowerShell
Participate in daily or twice-daily scrum calls to provide updates and surface blockers
Follow structured test plans and contribute to continuous performance improvements
Qualification
Required
SQL performance testing and diagnostics – experience running performance tests, analyzing results, identifying regressions, and generating clear technical reports
Programming in C, C#, and/or PowerShell – hands-on scripting and coding to automate testing, support diagnostics, and resolve performance issues
Windows OS experience – familiarity with Windows-based environments and system-level troubleshooting
Foundational computer science knowledge – understanding of performance concepts, system architecture, and problem-solving methodologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field required
0–2 years of experience in software development or performance engineering
2+ years of experience with C, C#, and/or PowerShell
2+ years of experience working in Windows OS environments
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively within a team
Preferred
Experience with SQL performance concepts and regression analysis
