Judicial Services Coordinator (Rockingham)
The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. The Judicial Services Coordinator is responsible for planning daily work operations, communicating effectively with various stakeholders, and utilizing community resources to support monitored offenders.

Responsibilities
The JSC shall have extensive knowledge of Structured Sentencing and how it applies to Community Supervision and knowledge of the Community Service Work Program
The JSC shall exhibit a working knowledge of local and regional community resources to address the placement of monitored offenders to government and nonprofit agencies in the community
The JSC must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with the Judiciary, offenders and the general public to ensure thorough and appropriate collection, analysis and utilization of data to interpret Division guidelines, policies and procedures
The JSC shall behave in a professional manner at all times as they hold a highly visible position within Community Supervision, and their actions will reflect upon the entire Division
The position is frequently in court and will associate with Judges, Attorneys, District Attorneys, Clerk of Court, Law Enforcement, etc. and establish and sustain effective working relationships
The JSC is responsible for planning their daily work operations, setting priorities, scheduling, and establishing deadlines for the caseload; must possess exceptional time management and organizational skills and must be able to work under stressful situations
Qualification
Required
Extensive knowledge of Structured Sentencing and how it applies to Community Supervision
Knowledge of the Community Service Work Program
Working knowledge of local and regional community resources to address the placement of monitored offenders to government and nonprofit agencies in the community
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with the Judiciary, offenders and the general public
Ability to ensure thorough and appropriate collection, analysis and utilization of data to interpret Division guidelines, policies and procedures
Professional behavior at all times as they hold a highly visible position within Community Supervision
Ability to establish and sustain effective working relationships with Judges, Attorneys, District Attorneys, Clerk of Court, Law Enforcement, etc

Ability to work under stressful situations
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology, or related field of study from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Associate's degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology, or related field of study from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in the court system, paralegal work, or other directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in the court system, paralegal work, or other directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
