The California Department of Developmental Services is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Analyst II performs complex analyses and provides technical assistance related to housing and service resource programs.

Responsibilities

Perform independent, complex, technical, and high-impact analysis related to the Department of Developmental Services’ (Department) housing and service resource programs
Responsible for a wide range of programmatic, analytical, and research duties related to housing
Review of critical housing documents
Collecting and managing housing data and records
Providing technical assistance to staff and regional centers on an ongoing basis
Assist with the implementation of the Statewide Specialized Resource Services (SSRS) program
Assist with the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development Section 811 Project-based Rental Assistance (HUD 811 PRA) program

Required

Candidates must be residents of the State of California at the time of appointment
This position requires lawful authorization to work in the United States
The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be numbered in the same order as the following areas, typed in 12-point Arial font, single spaced, and be no more than two pages in length

All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
If you are meeting Minimum Qualifications with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification
Official transcripts may be required upon appointment
If it is determined an applicant does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate may be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position

Preferred

Knowledge of: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; principles, practices, and challenges in affordable housing development; legal and regulatory documentation related to housing projects; current trends and best practices in affordable housing and services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Ability to: Apply analytical techniques to resolve complex housing and community resource challenges; prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively; accurately assess situations and implement appropriate solutions; and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Regional Centers, state agencies, and other professionals supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
