Responsibilities
Provide support across litigation, risk, compliance and contract functions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal support across departments
Assist with litigation support, including preparation of documents for Court cases and tracking of deadlines and filings
Assist with creating, updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Provide support for special projects
Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed
Support Legal team on special projects
Meet with an assigned mentor on a bi-weekly basis to discuss job performance and future career goals
Collaborate with peers on a Capstone Project - Over the course of the internship, interns will take on a real business challenge, build a capstone project around it, and present your innovative solution to leaders across the company
Qualification
Required
The ability to connect with others to keep the team aligned and focused
An analytical ability to collect and use information to solve complex problems
The discipline and willingness to do what needs to be done
A love for doing what others won't and solving difficult problems
A desire to grow and take on ever increasing responsibility
Some legal experience
An interest in multifamily property management in New York City
Be a rising Junior or Senior in a Legal related field of study
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Doing any, or all of that, in a multi-family environment would be good too
