Analyst/Programmer 1-4 Flex
The State of Alaska's Department of Natural Resources is recruiting for an Analyst/Programmer 1-4 to join the Division of Mining, Land & Water. This role involves maintaining the DMLW's website and web applications, developing and testing web-based applications, and providing user support through a ticketing system.

Responsibilities
Maintain DMLW's website and web application stack
Develop, test, and produce web-based line-of-business applications and databases of varying levels of complexity
Document and support users of your work via a support ticketing system
Continuously improve processes as a team
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of nine (9) semester hours of college-level coursework in computer languages or system analysis
Three months of actual computer programming experience
One year of work experience using a computer for analysis, including experience in the use of computer reporting languages, spreadsheets, or statistical packages
One year of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language
Two years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language
Four years of computer programming experience in a recognized computer language
Requires knowledge and experience writing in C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS programming languages, including how to create usable and accessible web designs
Requires understanding of mid-level SQL Queries and design of databases, stored procedures, and their functions, as well as how to create new databases
Requires experience using version control software in a production environment
Requires oral and written communication skills, the ability to both work in a team and independently, a desire and aptitude for building new skills, and a mindset for setting and accomplishing goals
Business analysis skills to properly determine customer needs and interface with customers for product development, debugging, testing, and release
Preferred
A bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Science (CS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related degree with (18) semester or (24) quarter hours of CS or CIS may substitute for all of the required experience
An associate's degree in computer science or computer information systems may substitute for nine months of the required experience
