The role involves building features end-to-end, designing scalable Firestore schemas, and implementing secure access controls.

Build features end-to-end (UI → API → Firestore → permissions)
Design Firestore schemas that scale
Implement RBAC correctly (no "security by UI")
Build async workflows (queues, retries, idempotency)
Ship clean, maintainable code
Review PRs and accept feedback without ego
Qualification
Required
Production experience with React + TypeScript
Real-world Firebase + Firestore (not tutorials)
Comfort with serverless backends and distributed systems tradeoffs
Strong grasp of data modeling, permissions, and RBAC security rules
CI/CD experience
Clear communicator who works well remotely
Preferred
React Native / Expo
Restaurant/workforce/scheduling domain experience
