Credit - Data Scientist
Broadgate is a rapidly growing, technology-driven consumer lending platform seeking a Data Scientist to design, implement, and optimize machine learning models for its personal loan business. This high-impact role involves collaborating across various teams to influence business strategy and enhance model performance.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor performance of machine learning models across the loan lifecycle
Design and run A/B testing frameworks to validate hypotheses and drive continuous improvement
Explore and analyze data to uncover new opportunities for enhancing model performance and business impact
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and shape product strategy
Partner with Technology teams to build scalable data science pipelines for continuous model testing and optimization
Ensure proper documentation, governance, and model validation in line with financial services regulations
Qualification
Required
Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
4–6 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or related roles, ideally within FinTech or online lending
Strong Python skills for programming, data analysis, and predictive modeling
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and experience with data visualization tools
Hands-on experience with applied statistical methods and predictive modeling techniques, including linear models, decision trees, boosting, and ensemble methods
Knowledge of optimization, stochastic processes, experimental design, A/B testing, and bootstrapping
Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate complex data into clear insights
