Responsibilities
Innovate: Design and develop soft-good medical devices using a deep understanding of neoprene, foams, and advanced textiles
Engineer: Solve complex structural challenges by integrating plastics, composites, and hybrid-material assemblies
Execute: Own the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping to testing, validation, and market launch
Lead: Drive cross-functional R&D efforts while navigating the medical device regulatory landscape to ensure compliance and performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Materials Science Engineering
5+ years of dedicated experience in orthopedic bracing or medical soft-goods (strictly non-implant focus)
Technical expertise in neoprene, foams, and textiles
Proven experience working with plastics and composites to create high-performance support systems
A successful track record of bringing medical devices from napkin sketch to commercial shelf
Degree: BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or Materials)
5+ years in R&D/Product Development specifically within the orthopedic soft-goods space
Expertise in soft goods manufacturing and assembly
Hands-on prototyping and validation testing
Fluency in the Medical Device Regulatory environment
Ability to manage cross-functional R&D leadership responsibilities
