Responsibilities
Design and build scalable backend services (Python/FastAPI) and data processing pipelines
Define efficient API contracts and contribute to key service architecture decisions
Integrate backend services with internal AI/ML systems and third-party platforms
Contribute to frontend components (React/TypeScript) as needed to deliver end-to-end features
Optimize performance and own aspects of engineering excellence (CI/CD, best practices)
Qualification
Required
5-8 years of experience as a full-stack, backend-leaning software engineer
A Computer Science or related STEM degree from a recognized university
Expert-level backend skills in Python, with strong experience in data infrastructure
Proficiency with FastAPI, React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS
Capable of working across the stack but with a strong backend focus
Down-to-earth, collaborative, and humble with excellent communication skills
Ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders (product, sales, clients) and contribute positively to team culture
Preferred
Prior experience in legal tech, fintech, or data-intensive SaaS is a significant plus
