Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Responsibilities

Create and modify 3D models and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks
Translate design concepts into manufacturable parts and support prototype development
Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the ERP system
Program and operate CNC machinery, including waterjet, plasma, brake press, CNC lathe, and robotic welding systems
Use CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) to develop and validate machining programs
Design and build tooling, fixtures, and jigs to support production needs
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues; coordinate with vendors as needed
Support preventive maintenance efforts and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Train and mentor operators on best practices and safe equipment usage
Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Fabrication, and Assembly teams to meet production goals
Identify and implement improvements in processes, tooling, and workflows
Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
3–5 years of CNC programming and machining experience in a manufacturing setting
Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and CAD/CAM software
Skilled in operating a variety of CNC and fabrication equipment
Familiarity with ERP/job tracking systems (Jobscope experience is a plus)
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and team collaboration skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment

Preferred

Associate's or Bachelor's in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
