Responsibilities
Analyze and understand data sources, participate in requirements gathering, and provide insights on data modeling and technology best practices
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and integration workflows to support large-scale data processing needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical solutions that are efficient, scalable, and cost-effective, ensuring minimal impact on system performance
Develop code following industry standards and organizational policies, ensuring maintainability and reliability
Evaluate proposed systems and solutions, providing input on compatibility, costs, resource requirements, and operational impact
Integrate various software components and subsystems into existing technical environments, assessing their impact on overall system performance
Configure, install, and verify the operation of data management software and tools
Participate in the development of standards, procedures, and processes for data collection, reporting, and analytics
Research, design, and implement applications, databases, and interfaces using advanced technologies and platforms
Identify and resolve issues during testing cycles, continuously improving the quality of data solutions and deliverables
Document all development phases for future reference, maintenance, and compliance purposes
Utilize critical thinking and programming principles to develop innovative data solutions aligned with organizational needs
Leverage expertise in enterprise application and integration design, including large-scale data lake and data warehouse implementations
Build stream-processing systems using tools such as NiFi or Spark Streaming, and work with query engines like Hive, Impala, and Spark SQL
Optimize SQL queries and data ingestion processes to ensure high performance within transactional, MPP, and columnar data architectures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience with MapReduce, Spark programming, and developing analytics solutions with large data sets within OLAP and MPP architectures
At least five (5) years of experience in the design, architecture, and development of enterprise-scale platforms utilizing open-source frameworks
Proficiency in SQL programming, query optimization, and performance tuning for large data assets
Experience with data integration techniques, ETL frameworks, and data mining methodologies
Solid understanding of BI and analytics landscape, particularly in large-scale development environments
Preferred
Preferred experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and healthcare IT systems
Certifications related to Hadoop, Java, or relevant Big Data technologies are advantageous
