Sr. Payroll Administrator
American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is dedicated to ending cancer and improving lives. The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a large employee population while ensuring compliance with regulations and providing guidance to payroll operations.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll in a multi-state environment for both exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and deadlines. 65%
Assists the Payroll Manager with payroll system configuration updates, tax adjustments, and corrections to support accurate payroll processing. 10%
Identifies and support the implementation of process improvements to payroll operations and workflows. 10%
Responds to employee inquiries and resolves payroll-related issues in a timely manner and with exceptional customer service. 10%
Supports quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including reconciliation, report distribution, and W-2 processing. 5%
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree
5+ years experience in a multi-state payroll environment
Advanced knowledge of federal & state payroll laws
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience
CPP designation and accounting experience preferred
3+ years experience with Workday preferred
