Responsibilities
Design and build enterprise data platforms using Microsoft Azure
Implement end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and serving layers
Develop and optimize Lakehouse architectures
Build governed, reliable, and traceable data pipelines
Enable analytics, BI, ML, and AI use cases on top of curated data assets
Implement data lineage, cataloging, and governance practices
Contribute to AI platform enablement and operationalization
Work closely with client business and technology stakeholders
Provide architectural guidance and best practices
Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables
Qualification
Required
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric
Experience designing and implementing Lakehouse architecture patterns
Strong knowledge of Delta Lake
Data integration & orchestration experience
Understanding of medallion (bronze/silver/gold) patterns
Implementation of data lineage and impact analysis
Metadata management & catalog integration
Data quality and reliability practices
Strong proficiency in Python
Experience with notebooks and distributed processing
Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry (model lifecycle, experimentation, deployment)
Understanding of AI platform governance and monitoring
Exposure to LLM or ML operationalization is a plus
10+ years of overall IT experience
6–8+ years in cloud data engineering or architecture
Proven track record delivering production data platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs
Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
Strong ownership mindset
Ability to operate in ambiguity and fast-moving programs
Preferred
Experience in client-facing consulting environments preferred
Microsoft certifications in Azure Data / AI
Experience with BI and semantic modeling
DevOps & CI/CD for data platforms
Experience defining enterprise data strategy
