ANALYST II
The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is a leader in emergency management and homeland security. They are seeking an Analyst II to perform complex analytical tasks related to federal and state disaster assistance grant programs, supporting local jurisdictions throughout all phases of emergency management.

Responsibilities
Perform complex analytical tasks relating to the provision of federal and state disaster assistance grant programs within the Cal OES Recovery Directorate
Conduct a broad range of advanced journey level analytical tasks relating to financial, programmatic, and administrative requirements of various grant programs
Support the Joint Field Office (JFO) and provide direct support to local jurisdictions through all phases of emergency management
Analyze and resolve governmental/administrative problems of intermediate to high-level complexity using various tools and program applications
Gather and analyze data to develop and evaluate alternatives for a variety of program related areas
Make recommendations to management on those alternatives
Communicate effectively orally and in writing, and function in an environment with demanding and changing priorities logically and creatively
Work independently while maintaining a standard workload and responding to frequent short-term tasks
Qualification
Required
Must be able to analyze and resolve governmental/administrative problems of an intermediate to high-level complexity using various tools and program applications

Communicates effectively orally and in writing

Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required
Must have a valid Driver's License (DL)
Must complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment
Must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s)

Performs accurately under pressure while managing multiple tasks
Maintains a strong attendance record and reliability
Willing and able to work in remote areas and temporary field office environments
Available to work evenings, weekends, overtime, and at alternate locations
