Responsibilities
Operate, maintain, and repair push and riding lawn mowers, as well as mowing tractors
Load tractors onto trailers for transport to cemeteries
Rake and bag grass, trim trees, hedges, and shrubs
Collect and dispose of leaves and branches
Replace sod and remove trash from the lawn
Plant, water, and care for flowers, grass, trees, and shrubs
Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls
Pull weeds, mulch flower beds, cut back dead grass, and maintain overall appearance
General shop cleanup and occasional custodial duties
Move and haul furniture, scrap metal, lumber, debris, etc
Paint walls in newly remodeled areas and repaint existing walls
Light construction work
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED plus one year of work experience in a related position
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
Ability to lift 50lbs and perform moderately strenuous manual labor for extended periods of time
Ability to work outdoors
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
