Senior BI Developer
Akron Children's is seeking a Senior BI Developer to design and implement advanced BI solutions. This role involves optimizing ETL processes, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring data security while collaborating with stakeholders to meet business needs.

Responsibilities
Leads the design and implementation of BI solutions to support organizational decision-making
Drives the development of advanced BI platforms and data products using complex analytic tools and concepts
Collaborates with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into scalable BI solutions
Optimizes system performance and reliability using notebooks, pipelines, and data flows
Aligns development initiatives with organizational and departmental strategies, employing best practices and emerging trends
Implements and champions advanced data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques
Ensures data integrity and system performance by overseeing data integration from multiple sources
Serves as an escalation point for technical issues, providing solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Utilizes healthcare data analytics tools to deliver actionable insights and reports (preferred)
Enforces data governance policies, security protocols, and compliance requirements
Applies DevOps practices for code source control, testing, and deployment
Keeps current with BI technologies, evaluating new solutions to enhance capabilities
Communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders, translating technical concepts into actionable insights
Mentors junior team members, fostering professional growth and skill development
Qualification
Required
At least five years of hands-on experience in BI development
A bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R
Familiarity with cloud-based BI platforms and DevOps practices
Ability to ensure data security
Preferred
Healthcare data analytics experience
Relevant professional certifications
Master's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field
Knowledgeable in healthcare data analytics
Prior experience mentoring junior developers
