Senior LevelOP Recruiting is seeking a Senior Infrastructure and Security Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise infrastructure in a highly regulated environment. The role involves developing scalable solutions, ensuring system performance, and implementing security controls.

Responsibilities
Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions including servers, storage platforms, networking systems, and cloud environments
Ensure optimal system performance by proactively monitoring infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and applying updates, patches, and improvements
Implement and enforce security controls and best practices to ensure infrastructure meets internal standards and external regulatory requirements
Leverage scripting and automation tools to streamline operational processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention
Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and IT teams to align infrastructure capabilities with evolving business and technology needs
Design, implement, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure high availability and business continuity
Engineer and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and security infrastructure with a focus on resiliency, scalability, and minimal operational disruption
Maintain accurate records of infrastructure assets including servers, network devices, endpoints, and software licensing to ensure lifecycle management and compliance
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to enhance remote access, mobility, and collaboration capabilities for a distributed workforce
Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Perform additional engineering and operational duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
Strong hands-on experience with VMware and enterprise virtualization platforms
Solid understanding of core networking concepts including routing, switching, and network security
Experience implementing and managing firewalls, network infrastructure, and security technologies
Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or similar scripting platforms
Knowledge of enterprise backup and recovery solutions and related best practices
Experience with enterprise security technologies such as endpoint protection, network access control, data protection, and content filtering
Deep expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Experience supporting cloud infrastructure environments
Advanced hands-on engineering experience with enterprise x86 server platforms and storage systems
