Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical/engineering solutions for new products and technologies within R&D projects
Translate research concepts and requirements into detailed designs, models, and prototypes
Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D CAD models in accordance with company and industry standards
Perform detailed analytical calculations & simulations (e.g., stress, thermal, tolerance, or performance analysis) to validate designs
Build, test, and evaluate prototypes; analyze test results and iterate designs as needed
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design feasibility
Support design verification and validation activities, including documentation and reporting
Participate in design reviews and contribute technical recommendations and improvements
Stay current with relevant technologies, materials, and industry trends
Support transition of designs from R&D to production, including supplier technical engagement
Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and safety requirements

Qualification

Required

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related discipline
3–6 years of experience in a design engineering role, preferably within an R&D environment
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or similar)
Solid understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
Experience with prototyping and product testing

Preferred

Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Experience with simulation or analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD)
Exposure to product development lifecycle from concept to production
Understanding of manufacturing processes such as precision grinding, spline forming, and heat treatment
