Start in 2026 SummerTampa Electric Company is seeking a co-op student to support Polk Power Station’s Engineering and Technical Team. The role involves assisting with the reliability of distributed control systems, providing support for unit operations and troubleshooting, and making adjustments to control logic and graphics.

Assist the station with reliability of distributed control systems (DCS), PLCs, and other instrument & controls systems
Provide assistance with unit operations and troubleshooting
Provide adjustments to control logic and graphics
Qualification
Required
The successful applicant should be enrolled in an ABET accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline
To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university's co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern
A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required
Required Degree: Engineering
Year in School: Junior or Senior
