Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in wireless systems infrastructure, networking, and connectivity supporting the Eastern Region's Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment and field offices
Resolve complex issues in IP-based LMR, microwave, and network systems
Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and preventative care of wireless telecommunications equipment
Support reliable communications for highway operations through field-based troubleshooting, emergency response, and collaboration with engineers and fellow technicians
Qualification
Required
Technical expertise in wireless systems infrastructure, networking, and connectivity
Experience with Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) equipment
Ability to resolve complex issues in IP-based LMR, microwave, and network systems
Experience in inspection, maintenance, repair, and preventative care of wireless telecommunications equipment
Field-based troubleshooting and emergency response skills
Collaboration skills with engineers and fellow technicians
Hands-on experience with wireless and IP networking technologies
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of telecommunications and safety practices
Ability to work independently in field environments
Clear communication and teamwork skills
