Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2019, 2022, and newer)
Manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and certificate services
Perform server hardening, patching, and lifecycle maintenance
Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity
Design and support virtualized environments (Hyper‑V, VMware)
Manage storage, file services, and backup/restore solutions
Support disaster recovery planning and testing
Maintain documentation for server configurations and changes
Implement Windows security best practices and baselines
Manage certificates, authentication, and access controls
Respond to security events and participate in remediation efforts
Support audits and compliance requirements where applicable
Use PowerShell to automate administrative tasks and system management
Leverage Windows Admin Center and native Microsoft tools
Improve repeatability and reliability through scripting and standardization
Participate in server-related projects including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments
Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to deliver solutions on time
Provide escalation-level support for complex server issues
Communicate technical information clearly to internal teams and clients
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on Windows Server administration experience
Strong expertise in Active Directory and Group Policy
Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V and/or VMware)
Proficiency with PowerShell for administration and automation
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls)
Experience working in a managed services or consulting environment preferred
IT systems support: 8 years (Required)
English is your first language (Required)
Ability to Commute: Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 (Required)
Preferred
Experience with Azure or hybrid (on‑prem + cloud) environments
Microsoft certifications (e.g., Windows Server, Azure Administrator)
Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and security tooling
Familiarity with PSA/ticketing systems and structured project workflows
A college degree is preferred
