Program Coordinator
Southern Utah University is seeking a Program Coordinator for a hybrid position that involves implementing health-related programs and projects aimed at recruiting and retaining a rural healthcare workforce. The role requires collaboration with students, communities, and healthcare professionals, along with data collection and periodic travel within the service area.

Responsibilities
Implements existing projects and/or grants related to health profession careers
Provides timely feedback to Program Manager when concerns or issues arise
Applies appropriate educational, behavioral, and organizational theories to complex problems involving rural healthcare access, delivery, and worker recruitment
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with internal (SUU) and external partnerships
May participate in coalitions with other organizations or state partners
Ensures spending aligns with project budget
Assists Program Manager with setting and measuring program outcomes and assessments
Directs work of student employees or interns if assigned
Completes other assignments assigned by the Executive Director including but not limited to, representing the center at meetings and committees, conducting needs assessments, coordinating with marketing and communications team, and developing community contacts
Qualification
Required
Applicants must reside in one of the following counties: Iron, Piute, Sevier, Millard, or Beaver
4 Year / Bachelors degree in Public Health, Sociology, Healthcare Administration, a Health Profession, or closely related fields or equivalent years of experiences
Experience planning, implementing, and/or evaluating health, workforce training, or education programs for adults
Evidence of setting program goals and achieving SMART objectives
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Proofreading, grammar, and technical writing experience is highly desired
Requires proficiency in personal computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, database, Internet, presentations, and desktop publishing
A valid driver's license is required
Preferred
CHES Certification, or current healthcare license, registration or certification
Experience advising students for college programs
Demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
