This role supports major design and construction projects across commercial, industrial, life sciences, healthcare, and mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities
Support proposal efforts for large-scale projects across multiple business units
Partner with Project Management and Design teams during preconstruction and buyout
Participate in design coordination meetings and constructability reviews (as assigned)
Build accurate, competitive estimates: budgets, quantity takeoffs, and proposals
Develop and maintain subcontractor/supplier relationships; review scopes and support bid leveling
Assist with bid schedules and preconstruction planning timelines
Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, bid day activities, and proposal submissions
Collaborate with internal leadership to finalize estimates and recommended schedules
Review and interpret plans, specifications, and schedule requirements
Build professional relationships with owners, facilities teams, and project stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field, or
Journeyman/Master credential in Plumbing or HVAC, or
7+ years of mechanical estimating experience
A valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check are required for site access
Proficiency with digital takeoff and estimating tools
Strong understanding of scopes, direct/indirect costs, and pricing strategy
Comfortable with Microsoft Office and scheduling tools
Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines with professionalism
Preferred
Mechanical field installation experience
3+ years of conceptual and/or design-build estimating experience with a mechanical contractor
Familiarity with construction scheduling practices; LEED exposure a plus
