Responsibilities
Operate a variety of construction equipment
Assist with grading and elevation setting
Contribute to the daily implementation of site plans
Review the construction plan and load or mobilize assigned equipment
Operate tools and machines—GPS controlled excavators and bulldozers—while setting grades and installing features according to site plans
Complete equipment checks and report any maintenance needs
Help ensure site safety protocols are followed
Support in training newer crew members in safe practices
Help relay instructions from your supervisor to the broader team
Monitor work against project specifications
Communicate with team members
Perform physically demanding tasks in various terrain and weather
Qualification
Required
2+ years of construction experience
1+ year of experience operating construction equipment
Strong familiarity with safety practices and PPE
Experience setting grades with smooth transitions and low tolerances (within 0.2 ft)
Ability to read project plans and implement them in the field
Basic experience with GPS and grading tools
Availability for weekly travel
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills
Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED
