Responsibilities
Perform GIS spatial analysis, data management, data editing, and data quality control for District and enterprise dataset
Assist and train staff on the use of GIS software, data, analysis, processing, products, and application/solution development; present GIS data and analysis for District projects
Develop and deploy web-based mapping, data services, and mobile applications
Assist in project workshops by conducting live interactive presentations of GIS data and analysis to staff and management
Design and develop spatial applications and automation to help meet the needs of the District
Assist GIS Program Manager with tasks and serve as back-up for manager
Support distribution of district GIS data to the public
Research and develop new GIS technology
Research, evaluate, and procure specialized GIS software
Perform field work including GPS/Mobile data collection, testing, and quality control
Perform other duties as assigned
The Analyst II should have demonstrated mastery of GIS and have the ability to troubleshoot GIS issues and solve them
Computes adjustments, performs closures and area calculations for parcel legal descriptions and correlates locations of boundary lines
Utilize advanced editing skills and the possess the ability to perform complex, often multi-step analysis for year-end reports and at the request of executive staff
Qualification
Required
Associates degree and a minimum of two (2) years of work-related experience or Bachelors degree and one (1) year of related experience or Masters degree
Minimum of two (2) years experience in geographic information system analysis and cartographic design, using ArcGIS Pro or equivalent software
Professional experience in GIS, cartography, surveying, project management, GIS application development including database design, or other GIS applications can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education
Valid drivers license
Bachelors degree and a minimum of two (2) years of work-related experience or Masters degree and one (1) year of related experience
Minimum of two (2) years experience in geographic information system analysis and cartographic design using ArcGIS Pro or equivalent software
Professional experience in GIS, cartography, surveying, project management, GIS application development including database design, or other GIS applications can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education
Valid drivers license
