Manufacturing Engineer Technician
ALCOM LLC is a growing company dedicated to producing high-quality aluminum trailers. The Manufacturing Engineer Technician is responsible for designing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes to support efficient production while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, and standard operating procedures
Design and improve production layouts, tooling, fixtures, and material flow to enhance efficiency, ergonomics, and safety
Support new product development (NPD) by defining manufacturing methods, labor standards, and equipment requirements
Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, scrap, and rework; recommend and implement corrective actions
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma principles
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable and meet quality requirements
Support capital equipment selection, justification, installation, and validation
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action for quality issues and production challenges
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Provide technical support and training to production supervisors and operators
Support multi-plant standardization efforts across Alcom manufacturing facilities
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
2–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production systems
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred
Experience in metal fabrication, welding, assembly, or trailer/vehicle manufacturing
Experience supporting high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing
Familiarity with CAD software and manufacturing documentation systems
Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean certification
Experience working in a multi-plant manufacturing organization
