Responsibilities
Architect & Build: You will design, develop, and scale resilient ETL pipelines, transforming raw data from thousands of sources into clean, reliable, and actionable assets for our analytics and product teams
Lead & Mentor: You will guide a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. You'll be the stable hand on the tiller for all data projects
Own the Stack: You will take ownership of a modern data stack built on AWS, driving strategy and making key decisions about tools and technologies like Airflow, Spark, and Trino
Strategize: You'll be a key voice in defining the long-term vision and roadmap for the company's entire data platform
Qualification
Required
Proven, extensive experience building complex data pipelines from the ground up using modern orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
Ideally, your career began in software engineering or a similar role, giving you a deep understanding of how to build and maintain scalable systems
Proficient with distributed data processing frameworks and query engines, with hands-on experience in Apache Spark and/or Trino (Presto)
Strong practical experience with the AWS data ecosystem, particularly with services like Redshift, Athena, and S3
Experience in technical leadership, strong mentorship ability, and are ready to take the next step in your career
