Responsibilities
Gain valuable work experience through exposure to actuarial functions within MetLife
Work directly with experienced actuaries in different areas of actuarial practice which may include pricing and product development, reserve calculations, actuarial modeling, financial analysis, asset liability management, or investments
Contribute to a wide variety of exciting and interesting projects, present to leaders in the organization about their contributions, and engage in a variety of networking events throughout the summer
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a bachelor's degree program at the time of internship with an accredited college or university
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong computer/technical skills - Knowledge of Excel is required
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Preferred
Preferred majors include actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, economics, accounting or other analytical/business-related majors
Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R is preferred
