Manufacturing Engineer Internship

Responsibilities
Have real-world experiences that enable you to put everything you have learned through your education into action
Assist in analyzing and optimizing supply chain processes to improve efficiency
Work with CAD software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Gain experience with Line balancing, time studies, engineered labor standards
Be exposed to the Lean Manufacturing Process, Continuous Improvement, and Kaizen events
Document and understand drawings and visual aids
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, warehouse, and quality departments
Assist in supplier evaluations and contribute to cost-saving initiatives
Learn and apply industry best practices, such as lean manufacturing and just-in-time (JIT) inventory management
Apply the skills and knowledge you have been studying into a practical situation or project(s)
Gain additional skills for future job opportunities within United Safety or externally for another career opportunity
Be able to explore a career path or receive help deciding what career path may be best for you
Learn from subject matter experts that specialize in your individual area(s) of interest

Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field
Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Understanding of supply chain processes
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Process, Continuous Improvement, and Kaizen events
Ability to document and understand drawings and visual aids
Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
