The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise with mainframe technologies and will provide comprehensive 24/7/365 production support for high-availability systems.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and implement new and existing mainframe business applications
Provide continuous production support, including troubleshooting and resolution of system issues to ensure maximum system stability and availability
Develop and maintain interfaces, reports, and utilities to support core business functions
Conduct system integration testing and support user acceptance testing activities
Review, enhance, and debug existing programs to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams, to resolve issues and deliver enhancements
Qualification
Required
5 to 15 years of progressive, hands-on experience with: COBOL, DB2, JCL, IMS-DB, CICS, VSAM
Proven experience supporting highly available systems in a 24/7/365 production environment
Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
Effective verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across departments
Preferred
Experience using enterprise job scheduling tools such as IWS, CA7
Knowledge of mainframe debugging and file management utilities
Exposure to Agile or DevOps methodologies and practices
Strong organizational and time-management capabilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Proactive approach with an emphasis on continuous improvement
Effective communication skills for interactions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Flexibility and adaptability to evolving business priorities
