Responsibilities
Build & Operate Reliable Systems; Design, deploy, and support scalable APIs and services, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and observability
Lead Technical Initiatives; Own the design and delivery of major back-end projects, contribute to architectural decisions, and help evolve the platform
Maintain High Engineering Standards; Write high-quality, well-tested code, participate in rigorous code reviews, and continuously improve development and release practices
Collaborate with Peers; Work closely with other experienced engineers to solve complex problems, share context, and make thoughtful technical tradeoffs
Own Outcomes; Independently prioritize work, manage large initiatives end-to-end, and take responsibility for system health and business impact
Qualification
Required
Expert-level experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Strong background in API design and development
Deep understanding of relational and non-relational databases
Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems
Hands-on experience with messaging and eventing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Strong grasp of software quality best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and documentation
Experience building, deploying, and supporting production systems at scale
Preferred
Experience with EDI or B2B data integrations
Familiarity with NestJS and AWS
Experience building systems at scale in fast-growing, high-throughput SaaS environments
