The University of Kentucky is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join their team working on grant-funded projects. The QA Tester will be responsible for testing SQL programs, dashboards, and R scripts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data analytics and visualization products used in public health research.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results

7+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on data analytics or business intelligence solutions

Proven experience testing SQL queries, R scripts and RShiny Apps

Experience in the biomedical or healthcare industry

Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts

Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, pytest)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biomedical Informatics, Data Science or a related field

Experience working with tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Zentrack, Bugzilla, and Git)

Experience handling healthcare claims data, CMS data, and HIPAA / PHI data

Story telling and stakeholder translation (turning technical reports to leadership-ready summaries)
