Waterworks Grant Program Coordinator (TLT/SDA)

NEOGOV is seeking a Waterworks Grant Program Coordinator to join King County’s WaterWorks Grant Program team. The role focuses on providing funding for community-driven projects aimed at protecting water quality and involves grant administration, evaluation, and reporting to support successful projects in the community.

Responsibilities

Organize and review grant proposals for completeness and consistency with criteria. Communicate with applicants to obtain additional information as needed
Develop grant program documentation, including reports and briefing documents. Utilize the grant management database and spreadsheets to conduct analysis and create reports for reviewers. Assist with planning, facilitating, and documenting committee review processes
Assist with grantee reports and payment request processing, review, compliance, tracking, and financial reconciliation
Assist with outreach and training events, including planning, logistics, organizing materials and presenting information in coordination with Grant Manager. Assist with logistics and production of materials for Grant Ranking Committee meetings. Prepare and update materials for applicants and grant recipients such as forms and guidance documents
Conduct analysis and evaluation of grant program operations, outputs, and outcomes. Develop and administer surveys and feedback mechanisms to get input from stakeholders. Identify needs, develop proposals for updating policies and guidelines and other process improvements, and assist in implementing
Communicate with and resolve issues from applicants, grantees, and reviewers. Coordinate with the Grant Manager for external outreach; create, edit, and assist with content for promoting the grant program via the website, social media, and other methods

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform all the duties described in this job announcement
Demonstrated skill in grant program administration and/or contract administration including strong organizational, time management, and attention to details
Experience in coordinating program work and communicating with diverse communities
Strong experience with evaluation, data analysis, accountability tracking and database systems for both outputs and outcomes
Strong writing skills and communication skills including experience in report writing
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to learn new databases and software
Basic understanding of local environmental issues and solutions

Preferred

Experience using grant, finance, or contract management systems and databases (such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Foundant, or comparable systems). Experience in using power apps or related tools for data management
Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion, and experience working collaboratively with teams or partners to support fair, accessible, and inclusive grantmaking or funding processes
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information, program data, and documentation to support informed decisions and compliance
