Responsibilities

Lead the mechanical design, analysis, and continuous improvement of test interface mechanics for Allegro’s probe and final test equipment
Drive projects through all phases of development, from generating detailed specifications and creating 3D parametric models to overseeing prototype builds and executing comprehensive validation plans
Serve as a technical stakeholder in the evaluation and selection of new OEM test equipment
Perform detailed engineering analysis and design reviews on new proposals and concepts to ensure they meet Allegro’s performance and reliability standards
Assist in the design, development, and validation of new configurations for electromagnetics, enabling test capabilities for next-generation products
Work closely with electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into the overall test solution
Mentor engineers and act as a technical resource for the broader team, sharing expertise in precision mechanics, thermal management, and automated system design

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
A minimum of 10 years of related experience in the design and development of electro-mechanical systems
Expert-level skill in 3D parametric design and solid modeling using software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo
Experience with the design, operation, and troubleshooting of high-volume automated equipment, including a strong knowledge of precision alignment mechanisms
Experience in the thermal analysis and management of complex electro-mechanical systems
A clear understanding of the main phases of project development with a proven track record of meeting deliverables and driving projects to successful completion

Preferred

Experience within the semiconductor industry, specifically with test handlers, probers, or similar automated equipment
Background in designing for high-volume manufacturing environments
Familiarity with high/low voltage applications and the integration of contactors, relays, or circuit breakers into mechanical designs
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
