Entry Level Electrical Engineer (Energy/Power) - Summer 2026 Start

Responsibilities
Support the design and delivery of high‑voltage transmission and distribution substation projects
Contribute to the technical quality of assigned engineering tasks
Gain familiarity with client expectations, project scopes, budgets, and schedules
Conduct condition assessment of existing systems
Perform feasibility and master plan studies
Engage in detailed design and construction oversight for power generation facilities, distribution systems, and substations
Model complex power systems to evaluate load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash hazards
Develop relay protection strategies
Design lightning protection systems and grounding
Support concept studies, electrical design, power system modeling, equipment specifications or interdisciplinary coordination
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program
Foundational knowledge or coursework in one or more of the following: Power system analysis, High‑voltage equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, instrument transformers), Protection and control systems, Substation design principles (HV, MV, LV)
Preferred
Previous relevant intern experience is preferred
Experience with 3D modeling and viewing software such as AutoCAD, CADWorx, Revit and NavisWorks
System modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar modeling software
Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
