Responsibilities
Review and analyze carrier invoices and usage data to ensure billing accuracy, identify discrepancies, and uncover cost-saving opportunities
Use SQL and telecom expense management (TEM) platforms to pull, reconcile, and analyze telecom data, then develop reports and presentations for stakeholders
Work directly with telecom providers to obtain customer service records, resolve billing disputes, and address service issues
Track and report on metrics such as telecom spend, usage trends, uptime, and mean time to repair
Review telecom contracts and rate structures to confirm compliance and optimal pricing, including working within large enterprise agreement frameworks
Maintain accurate records of telecom circuits, lines, and services across a large environment (including analog and VoIP endpoints)
Validate and maintain accurate location information to support emergency services compliance
Identify inefficiencies in telecom expense and asset management workflows and implement improvements
Present findings, insights, and recommendations to IT, finance, and operational leadership
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in telecommunications analysis, telecom expense management, or a related discipline within a large enterprise environment
Strong SQL skills
Hands-on experience with TEM platforms and telecom billing systems
Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and translate insights into actionable recommendations
Experience reviewing carrier invoices
Resolving billing disputes
Working with enterprise telecom contracts
Strong communication skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred
Experience supporting mixed analog and VoIP environments
Familiarity with large enterprise agreements
Exposure to reporting or visualization tools
