Responsibilities
Leading full lifecycle analysis projects, including requirements gathering, design, documentation, testing, and validation of data solutions
Acting as a database administrator for key systems, ensuring data integrity, monitoring system interfaces, and troubleshooting issues as they arise
Maintaining and updating databases used for internal and external reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
Designing and analyzing databases to track organizational quality metrics and infection prevention data to support continuous quality improvement efforts
Entering data, generating reports, and interpreting statistical information for management decision-making
Collaborating with internal departments to develop efficient data collection processes, utilizing various file formats and report tools
Maintaining the THCIC database, ensuring timely data submission, error analysis, and certification
Serving as a technical resource, leveraging expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other project management tools to develop presentations and communicate findings effectively across all organizational levels
Solving complex problems, providing technical guidance to team members, and ensuring project deadlines are met without compromising quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field
Minimum of 12 years of extensive experience in SQL programming within large data environments, including OLTP, OLAP, and MPP architectures
Advanced proficiency in SQL query development, debugging, and optimization
Substantial experience handling large datasets on platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala, and Data Warehouse systems like MS SQL Server or Postgres SQL
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication abilities
Capacity to lead technical teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred
Master's degree
Healthcare IT experience
Familiarity with data integration, cleansing, and BI tools such as Power BI, IBM Cognos, Tableau, or MicroStrategy
Certifications in SQL, BI tools, SAS, Hadoop, or Agile Scrum methodologies
