Responsibilities

Become familiar with department standards and design practices
Learn or increase existing skills in CAD and other software programs
Recreate and refine existing components and systems to updated standards
Component drawing detailing and file maintenance
Follow appropriate work order documentation
Assist with the design of new components and features on standard products and custom equipment
Contribute to active production project designs
Assists with a variety of special projects as needed
Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment
All other related duties as assigned
Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job
Adhere and perform all duties aligned with the core values of the LINK Group organization, Can-Do Attitude, Courage, Commitment, Humility and Accountability

Required

Officially enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's Degree program in Mechanical, Software or Electrical Engineering, or related field
High School Diploma
Experience with 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
Understanding of 2D drawings, component dimensioning, and machining tolerances
Good understanding of mechanical systems and multi-part assemblies
Excellent analytical skill and critical thinking
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to identify new and unique ideas to make connections among previously unrelated notions; to participate in brainstorming sessions
Ability to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably
Ability to learn when facing new problems, analyzing successes and failures for improvement
Ability to deal with challenges to find solutions
Ability to practice active listening to learn new skills within the industry, company, product, or technical knowledge
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Ability to speak verbally and read in English
Ability to walk
Ability to see with corrective lenses
Ability to hear
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity
Ability to use a computer
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically
