PROGRAM SPECIALIST 3
NEOGOV is seeking a Program Specialist 3 to assist the Program Specialist 5 in providing notification and information to victims of crimes regarding pending release hearings. The role involves coordinating victim impact and safety concerns, maintaining communication systems, and representing the Victim Services Program in policy changes and improvements.

Responsibilities
Notify victims/survivors of ISRB hearings and decisions, victims’ rights and status of offender
As delegated by Program Specialist V, provide explanation of the ISRB and its policies and processes, relevant statutes, and the rights of victims in relationship to the ISRB
Provide information and assistance to victims/survivors in a prompt, accurate and courteous manner
As delegated by Program Specialist V, compile and coordinate victim impact and potential safety concerns with DOC and other criminal justice agencies and ISRB board members
Update and maintain information systems critical to internal and external communications to ensure accuracy and confidentiality
Problem-solve issues with supervisor, other ISRB staff, and/or other system and community-based victim advocates
Facilitate Victim Wrap Around services with stakeholders as delegated by the Victim Liaison
Represent the board’s Victim Services Program on work groups/projects involved in policy changes and process improvements
Attend community concerns meetings with the victim/survivor and the Board
Respond to questions and summarize those meetings to send to the incarcerated individual prior to their hearing
Respond to e-mails and phone calls from ISRB and DOC staff regarding community concerns
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Three years (full-time or equivalent) experience in a position in which the primary job responsibility is providing services to victims of crimes
Two years of clerical experience
Thorough, demonstrated understanding of the impact of crime on victims and families and the process of recovery from the trauma of victimization
Ability to assess the specific safety needs of individuals to document and convey that information to appropriate staff members
Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks and responsibilities, and make efficient use of time and resources
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college whose accreditation is recognized by the US Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), of a foreign equivalent
Experience with Offender Management Network Information System (OMNI)
Experience with Accurint
