Start in 2026 SummerThe Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor for the City of New York is hiring for its Summer College Internship Program for 2026. Interns will gain insight into the legal field by assisting prosecutors, observing court proceedings, and participating in an educational program on criminal law.

Responsibilities
Assist prosecutors as they prepare for hearings and trials in their criminal cases
Observe SNP’s Alternative to Incarceration program
Attend court proceedings and off-site tours related to SNP’s work
Participate in an educational program involving meetings with prosecutors and learning about criminal law
Engage in mock trials and grand jury presentments
Qualification
Required
Current college sophomores and juniors are eligible to apply to the summer internship program
Selected candidates will have to pass a background check prior to the start of the internship
Selected candidates must be available to work the entire length of the program and must immediately inform HR and the Director/Deputy Director of Legal Training of any anticipated conflict
Demonstrated interest in public service
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to problem solve
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
