Responsibilities

Support the Space Ops Advanced Technologies team which builds cutting edge software tools and analytics for DoD space operators and analysts
Leverage AI/ML and data science to creatively solve hard problems

Required

Must be pursuing a degree in computer science or related field (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Sciences)
Completed at least two years of an undergraduate curriculum and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience developing software applications in Java
Must be comfortable taking the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly
Good interpersonal and communication skills in spoken English
Must be a US Citizen
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership ability through community or campus involvement. Candidates are expected to possess a positive team-first attitude, a willingness to learn, and strong initiative

Preferred

Familiar with object-oriented software design fundamentals using Java, C++, C#
Experience with Python programming language
Experience with agile software development techniques
Experience with IDE tools such as VS Code, IntelliJ, Eclipse
Knowledge of CM tools such as Git
