Responsibilities
Manage and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met
Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining the integrity of the chart of accounts
Prepare and analyze internal financial statements and supporting schedules for management review
Develop, document, and maintain strong internal accounting controls and procedures
Coordinate and support external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Act as a technical resource for accounting staff and cross-functional teams regarding GAAP and company policies
Qualification
Required
8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role (e.g., Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant)
Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advanced proficiency in financial reporting software, general ledger systems, and Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with the Controller, executive team, and cross-functional departments to drive financial integrity and process improvement
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Preferred
CPA certification is strongly preferred
