In this role, you will lead and support the installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation equipment in the factory.

Responsibilities
Install, commission, and optimize automation equipment
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot robots and secondary equipment to minimize downtime
Collaborate with engineers and technicians on design, fabrication, and problem-solving
Train technicians on technical skills, standards, and equipment
Design and implement jigs, fixtures, and automation solutions
Work with electrical (AC/DC), pneumatic, hydraulic systems, servo motors, sensors, and HMIs
Conduct safety reviews, risk assessments, and equipment confirmations
Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper functioning of interlocks
Support programming and equipment specification development
Qualification
Required
Vocational/trade school degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
8+ years troubleshooting/programming Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, servo/stepper drives, and robots (Fanuc, Sepro, Star)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read/update electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
Proficient in Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good communication skills; ability to train others
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work occasional weekends/OT
Preferred
Knowledge of SolidWorks or CAD
Advanced robotic programming and PLC troubleshooting
Experience with injection molding, machining, cleanroom practices
Familiarity with vision systems (Keyence), AMRs, AGV traffic control
Experience in equipment procurement and installation
