Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Linux mission systems
Triage system alerts and initiate resolution protocols
Develop SOPs
Collect data to assist decision makers
Some periodic WMA travel. Occasional OCONUS travel
Coordinate with system stakeholders including customers, engineers, and analysts in person and remotely
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related field
Must be a US Citizen
Must possess and maintain Top Secret SCI clearance with CI poly
Must have Linux command line experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail in system monitoring
Ability to assess and evaluate ever-changing situations effectively
Preferred
Computer system basics such as Git, NTP, DNS, DHCP, and VNC
Monitoring tools such as Zabbix and SNMP
Configuration, hardening, and maintenance strategies for RHEL-based systems such as CentOS and Rocky Linux
VM or container management with Libvirt, VMWare, Vagrant, or Docker
Scripting in Bash or Python
Database management using Elasticsearch, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and SQL
Networking configuration and analysis, for example using Wireshark
Infrastructure management tools such as Ansible or Salt
Hands-on server and network switch hardware maintenance
Java, JavaScript, or C++ programming or quality assurance (QA) experience
