Responsibilities
Rack mounting of servers, switches, other hardware
Cabling of servers, switches (copper, twinax, fiber)
Troubleshoot server, storage, network hardware issues & work with the rest of the IT engineers
Troubleshoot copper and fiber connectivity issues
Shipping and receiving of equipment and parts at data centers
Work with Datacenter co-lo technicians & open Smart Hands tickets when necessary
Work with third party Vendor (such as Dell, HP) technical support when necessary
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years' experience managing equipment in a data center
Experience with Dell and HP Servers, Arista and Cisco switches
Able to lift 50-60 lbs
Diligent and has great attention to detail
Great communication and teamwork skills
Able to work off hours when necessary (late hours and weekends)
Have a car and able to travel to data centers within the area
Preferred
Familiar with Linux, TCP/IP, Git, Jira/Confluence (desired, not required)
