Responsibilities
Fixture Development: Lead the full lifecycle of custom manufacturing fixtures and tooling, from initial concept and CAD modeling to detailed 2D drawings and production
Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing, quality, and design engineers to define requirements and ensure fixtures integrate seamlessly into production lines
Design Optimization: Use UG NX, Teamcenter to design for usability, manufacturability (DFM), and maintainability
Validation & Testing: Perform alignment checks, tolerance stack ups, and verification testing to ensure all tools meet safety and performance standards
Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in existing tooling and implement upgrades to reduce cycle times and quality defects
Mentorship: Guide junior designers and engineers, providing technical feedback and design reviews to elevate team competency
Qualification
Required
15+ Years of Fixture Design and Development Experience
Mechanical Engineering background
Experience from Semiconductor industry
Should know the DFMA connects
Should have the manufacturing knowledge
