Responsibilities
Work in a production environment under the guidance of senior Software Engineers, contributing code to features and fixes that will be deployed within LaunchDarkly
Apply foundational software engineering principles to support the development of scalable and reliable systems, following established design patterns and best practices
Write clear, well-structured, and testable code in accordance with team standards and documented procedures
Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues with support from more experienced engineers
Participate in code reviews to receive feedback and improve technical skills
Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks and deliverables within defined timelines
Qualification
Required
Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
Demonstrated academic or project-based experience with at least one server-side programming language (e.g., Go, Node.js, Python, Java, C++)
Exposure to at least one front-end technology (e.g., TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Vue, Angular) through coursework, internships, or personal projects
Foundational understanding of computer science principles, including data structures, basic concepts in distributed systems, concurrency, and threading
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn, seek guidance when needed, and apply feedback to improve performance
Understanding of the importance of code quality, testing, and established engineering best practices
